<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">Guests usually gather at the dive shop before the trip to check in. <a href="boats.html">Our dive boats</a> start at the downtown pier for a departure at 9:20 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays for a 3-tank dive and return around 4:30 - 5:30 PM depending on the dive profiles and the distance to sites. If you do not want to do a three tank dive you can do two and either stay on the boat and snorkel, or get off the boat on the south end of the island and come back to town by taxi (at your own expense).</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">The rest of the week we depart at 11:30 AM and return between 4:30 - 5:30 PM depending also on the dive profile and distance to sites. If you're staying at a hotel outside of town, in most cases our dive boats can pick you up right at your hotel.</font></p>

<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">Our retail dive shop is located just across the street from the Coffee Bean. We stock a complete supply of dive equipment including masks, fins, snorkels, regulators, BCDs, books, Tshirts, and accessories</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">If you need to rent dive equipment during your visit with us, we have a complete stock of rental dive equipment so we can help you to find the perfect fit.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">We offer cameras for rent or sale, video graphic services and disposable cameras also. We also have a charming boutique for last minutes accessories our customers may need. Our dive shop is filled with everything you may have forgotten to pack.</font></p>

<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">We are a SSI full service Instructor Trainer Facility. Our multilingual instructors and assistants are supervised by an SSI Director of Training to guarantee a continued level of high performance. Additionally, we offer a complete referral service. At the end of the training we will send you a letter advising you of your performance so you can plan your continued education. <p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">All of our instructors are SSI and PADI certified but we practice the SSI philosophy. Because we have an in-house instructor trainer, you can be sure we will always have enough SSI Instructors for our customers. Also, if you need any help with your instructors finishing their certifications here, let us know...we are flexible and always ready to work.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">For the referrals we do 4 open water dives from the beach. The last 2 can be done early in the morning so that the students can go on the regular dive trip that leaves at 11:30 AM. If we feel people are still not yet comfortable, we will send an instructor on their first ocean dive at no extra cost . We want to make sure they feel confident.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">We have the standard ratio of 4 students per instructor as maximum, but if we just have one, the instruction will be one on one. This is not a problem.</font></p>

<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">The Mexican island of Cozumel lies 12 miles off the Yucatan Peninsula, separated by a 1,500 ft. deep ocean. The island was a sanctuary of the Mayan Goddess of Fertility "X'chel", and was a major destination for religious pilgrimages. Followers of X'chel came to pray and offer food and flower sacrifices to the Goddess of the Moon.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">Cozumel diving offers spectacular visibility, incredible walls, pinnacles, and interconnecting caves and tunnels. All of the dives are drift dives, meaning the boat drops you off on one end of the reef, follows your bubbles, and picks you up at the end of the dive. Drift diving is easy if you let the current do the work. Cozumel's natural beauty, clean and peaceful beaches, clear water, multicolored reefs, exotic flora and fauna as well as numerous archeological vestiges welcome people from every corner in the planet.</font></p>
<p><font face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,COZUMEL DIVING" size="2">Cozumel is rich with tradition combining Prehispanic rituals and culture with the participation of visitors and locals alike. We celebrate "Carnival" in February, the religious rights of Easter and Christmas, the Festivals of Santa Cruz in May, San Pedro and San Pablo in June, San Miguel in September. All of these events are popular with local residents as well as visiting guests.</font></p>
